QUARANTINE AND ONLY CHILL?

Many of us must have come across this picture while scrolling through Instagram. I'm pretty sure this must have motivated many of them. But do you think that we are really using that motivation and acting on it?                                                                                                                                    Heyyyyyy there! Enough of this Covid-19 symptoms or stats of active cases or measures of safety. This blog is basically a motivational blog, where in, I will be talking about how you can utilize this time in a better way.

NO, I am not gonna ask you to strictly wake up early and do yoga or something.
NO, I am not gonna ask you to study the whole day.
Talking about that picture, it talks about 3 things-
                1. New skills
                2. Side hustle started
                3. More knowledge
Lets talk a bit in detail. NEW SKILLS. I am a very competitive person. I keep working on myself in one or the other ways and trust me that's the best investment one can make- "Investment in one's own-self ". Below mentioned are a few skills that are not hard to learn and one can easily master in it during this quarantine time-
1. How about a skill that makes you feel and look "cool", adding to your entertainment quotient??Guitar!! Or for that matter, any musical instrument like piano/musical keyboard, flute, drums, harmonica etc. You tube is the best source from where you can learn this skill at your convenience and without paying a good fortune. Many teachers are also giving classes through video call.

2. Origami  [the (Japanese) art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures]
This is good for you as it develops eye hand co-ordination, sequencing skills, spatial skills, memory, but also patience and attention skills. Origami allows you to develop fine motor skills and mental concentration. All of this combined stimulates the brain- especially when both hands are being used at the same time.

3. Cooking
"But that's a girly thing, isn't it?" NO. Everyone should know basic cooking, to ensure survival. This skill will make you self sufficient.

Why only pancakes with nutella or tha trending dalgona coffee and not healthy salads and blueberry morning cereal?
You can help your mom as well!

4. Grooming and Make-up
Once you start working on personal grooming, you will inevitably notice a big change i yourself. You will witness significant improvement in your self-confidence and self-esteem. A lot of excellent make-up tutorial pages are active on Instagram. YouTube is just another source of learning it.

5. Sketching and drawing
Pick them colors and bring out the artist hidden inside you. Try new and different forms. Experiment!

6. Video and picture editing
From making your Instagram more aesthetic to earning some money by freelancing in the field of graphic designing, it covers it all. This skill is gaining importance and popularity at a very fast pace.

Coming to the next part, Side Hustle.
A side hustle is any type of work undertaken in addition to one's full time job/core area of work. A side hustle is generally a freelance or piecework in nature, providing a supplemental income. Side hustles are often things a person is passionate about. Here I would like to stress more on the passion thing. Here are few examples that will help in our better understanding-
