BIKES AND SAFETY

AREN'T BIKES EXCITING?

THEY ARE!  They are so much fun. Full of thrill and adrenaline rush.
Me being an adrenaline junkie, love to ride bikes and sometimes act like a squid too!
"Are they dangerous?"
A big question.
What matters is the decision and judgement of the rider. Remember how we used to write this line in essays on internet, "the user should be responsible".
That's exactly what the case is with the bikes (or any other vehicle) too.
There is nothing wrong in enjoying bike rides and to even hoon sometimes. But with power comes responsibility. Drive safe. Go high speed but only when you are equipped with proper gears and in a safe environment.Safety Gears, not only protects you from physical accidents, they also, in a way, shields your eyes and skin from dust and pollution to a great extent.
Talking about gears, HELMET is the most basic safety gear. A must. Others include riding gloves, elbow and knee guards, back protectors and many more.Talking about helmets in specific, please stop/avoid using half face helmets. They are useless. Neither do they protect your jaw and chin area nor they protect you from dust and wind blast.
I own a SMK Twister full face helmet having ECE certification. It's well equipped with all the required features. Brands I prefer for helmets- LS2, Axor, MT, Studs, Steelbird. Riding gloves I own- Scoyco MC10.

Imagine if this rider wasn't wearing a helmet... Just imagine. I hope I made the utility and necessity of helmet very clear here. Also, I would like to mention the term "SQUID".
Now you know.Don't be one. Be responsible and safe!!!!

"Two-wheeler buyers in Madhya Pradesh will have to purchase two helmets and show the receipt to the Transport Department to get their vehicle registered."
A new rule in MP.

What do you think of this new rule and should it be implemented in Delhi also? Lemme know your views in the comments section.

*supporting use of proper gears* They add to your fashion as well.
Safety + Fashion !
What's the problem then? You can go for some stylist helmet if you want to. The market is flooded with vast variety of utility and designer
helmets.
Invest in a good quality helmet, that passes at least the minimum safety standards. Again, expenditure on safety is an INVESTMENT.
Also, a humble request to those people who wear turban. At least wear the visor shields. They protect your eyes and are very helpful in case of dust storms.
